On the Feast of Mary Mother of God, I invite you to journey with me in my reflections on Mary this past year. I have often taken the title of Mary the Mother of God for granted. This summer I tried to unpack some of the dimensions of this title. I hope you will find them helpful in your own understanding of Mary and the often unrecognized revolutionary implications of her hymn of thanksgiving known as the Magnificat.
