Northampton Seminary property to be developed

MIS centerNorthampton Seminary property to be developed according to a report in the Morning Call.

“Lehigh Valley developer David Jaindl is poised to reimagine the majestic but empty building at 300 Cherryville Road as possibly a spa or banquet venue with 500 age-restricted single and multi-family homes on the surrounding land.”

He emphasized he has no interest in tearing down the former seminary, a limestone structure with arch colonnades, walkways and gardens and a chapel with a white onyx tabernacle and stained-glass windows that nearly reach the ceiling.

One thing is certain.

“Absolutely no industrial,” Jaindl said.

Jaindl said he wants to be respectful of its origins and will consult with Catholic authorities on future uses of the worship area known as Mary Queen of All Saints Chapel.
