Vincent’s Homes: Thinking Globally, Acting Locally
Conceived in 2017 as an outgrowth of the Vincentians’ global 13 Houses campaign, the Eastern Province’s Vincent’s Homes program provides stable, long-term housing and support services to some of the Philadelphia area’s most vulnerable families, those who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness due to poverty and other economic challenges.
Newly renovated housing units are offered at below-market rates to qualifying applicants who also gain access to a range of support services such as employment, education, and child care guidance. These services are designed to help residents overcome key financial obstacles they may face and to succeed in their new homes.
Vincent’s Homes operate on a net zero energy model, utilizing alternative energy sources to achieve self-sustainability while helping to drive investment in some of the region’s most economically challenged communities.
